Time for a change and I’m the best candidate for the City Council
Only candidate with sound ideas to generate new revenue
without increasing property taxes

“It is the purpose on the part of the citizens to make Wheaton a safe place in which to bring up and educate children…   … there is no better residence place in the West for people of retirement, who desire congenial society for themselves, or an atmosphere of morality and culture in which to bring up children.” Wheaton and Its Homes– published in1892.   To watch a video of my campaign message, please click here

Back in 1978, when I moved to Wheaton, it was the character of Wheaton that attracted my husband and me. We thought it was going to be a great place to raise our two daughters.  Within walking distance from our home were the schools, library, movie theater, swimming pool and downtown amenities. This sense of community is what captured our interest.

What Wheaton is today started with our founding fathers’ vision to establish the ideal place to raise a family.  In 1978 Danada was farm land, there was only one pool, and in the downtown

there was a bakery along with children and toy stores. The rich and diverse heritage of Wheaton has created a sense of place where people feel safe and benefit from its educational and cultural institutions.  When I look around at the downtown, Wheaton College, and Danada, I feel pride in my heart knowing our founding fathers would be beaming with joy knowing their vision still holds true.

I have been an advocate for Wheaton for nearly thirty-four years and want to help Wheaton build on its strengths for a strong economic future.  Living and working in Wheaton has given me the opportunity to see and hear the pulse of the people.  I understand the issues and how government works.  As an elected official I have a voice in city government which will effectively represent the Wheaton citizens.

I am an informed and involved citizen and the best candidate for the City Council.  Whether the discussion is regarding the city’s flooding problems, traffic flow issues, budget, infrastructure, or site development, I pledge to thoroughly research and formulate an unbiased solution that will be in the best interest of the community.

I welcome the opportunity to discuss your questions or concerns. Feel free to call me at 630-665-8366 or email me at alberta@voiceforwheaton.com. Thank you for your interest and I look forward to your support and vote on April 9th.

What people are saying about Alberta

I never ceased to be amazed at her knowledge of a particular project, her dedication and determination to find a solution to a problem and her willingness to listen and accept ideas other than her own if it was for the good of a wider audience.

As a senior citizen who has lived in Wheaton for over fifty years,
I whole heartedly endorse
Alberta Adamson for Wheaton City Council.  Her initiative
to find solutions to avoid
future property tax increases make sense.
Ed Ewoldt

Alberta’s energy has no end!
She brings a balance in all she attempts.  We would be very fortunate Wheaton citizens
to have Alberta as one of our
new council members. She will work for us
.
Rosalinda Karolek

I  admire Alberta Adamson for
all the work she has done in preserving our town’s history.
I feel she has the incentive
and qualifications to recharge our downtown.  Wheaton has
a great historical background that we should proudly promote.  Her concern for the betterment
of Wheaton including her tax generating ideas make her
the best candidate for
Wheaton City Council.
Helen White

She is knowledgeable regarding city government and has a
desire to get things done, such
as attracting businesses to downtown and highlighting Wheaton's historic and cultural attractions.  Alberta is the only candidate who has presented ideas to generate revenue
without raising property taxes.
